UP, DOWN, ROUND & ROUND began life as a static artwork, but then became an animation, and then an Augmented Reality piece!
The animated artwork was created with a simple game engine. The animation can be superimposed onto the artwork using the EyeJack App.
This piece was created within The Metro Tunnel Creative Program for the MOVE IT, MOVE IT! group show at the Franklin Street Frames in Melbourne.
The artwork is an exploration of visual dynamics through the use of form, colour and typography. By tracing their gaze - or even their finger - through the artwork the viewer becomes player. The players focus shifts throughout the frame and they engage in the act of movement, a short journey of exploration, challenge and fun.
